Description:

Nestled in the foothills overlooking the McLaren Vale is this rustic settler's cottage with old stone walls, slate floors and the warming glow of Baltic pine timbers. Each of the spacious rooms has magnificent views over the surrounding vineyards or the park like garden.
This is real country style - lie back in your canopied cast iron bed and take in the views over the vines to the sea. Take a long relaxing bath in the cast iron claw foot tub; whip up something healthy in the timber kitchen; curl up in front of the open wood fire with your best friend (or author). Sit out under the pergola with a glass of the local product and listen to the birds in the trees overhead; wander the old orchard and collect fruit or nuts in season. If only everyday was like this. Room to breathe.

Our second visit to this beautiful property. The barn renovation looks great and further development of the outdoor areas is underway which will further enhance this wonderful location. The main negative is lack of a fixed shower head over the bath. It would be great it one was installed. A great place to relax and enjoy the sunset from the porch!

The only thing we had a problem with was the shower. Very hard to wash with one hand. Just adding a bracket to the wall to hold the handset would be great. Has anyone said anything about a visitor/ ghost/ spirit? Had a great stay. Angela and Michael

This beautiful restored cottage is a credit to the owners. The location is perfect, very quiet and, as the name says, the view over the vines to the sea is a great way to relax on the front verandah with a glass of the local wine.

We had a wonderful stay in your cottage. I am sorry that my trip to Vietnam with the GG cut ir short by 1 night! We wll return in the future and stay longer. Only criticism - an outside toilet would be of value because it can be a bit inconvenient if some-one wants to go to the loo while another person is in the bathroom.Otherwise, everthing was perfect.
